Sort of stuck waiting on the current batch of Brazilians to arrive before I can approach the green shelf (and others) for comparisons.  Since I’ve long considered the tones you see before you my least favoured of the many greens I own, I thought it was safe to go ahead and line them up without risk of adding more to my collection just a few days later and thus leaving out key bottles…  this has occurred with just about every post I’ve composed in the past few months (sigh, compulsions!).

NYX Pastel Pistachio, Essie Navigate Her

These two are thick as thieves PFFs in the bottle as well as on the nail wheel – since I had swatched them a few weeks ago and only took mental notes (could have sworn I wrote down the details, but can’t find them anywhere), I couldn’t remember which was which on the nail wheel, they’re that close.  Essie has the thinner formula, as usual.

In the photo above, I switched ’em — the 3x swatches give a better hint of what’s in the bottle in this particular image.

L to R:  Essie Navigate Her, NYX Pastel Pistachio, Sinful Colors Song of Summer, Orly Coachella Dweller, Sinful Colors Olympia

Again, Sinful Colors Song of Summer, Orly Coachella Dweller, Sinful Colors Olympia

Each of these three came out in respective summer collections, varying years.  These days, when one hears Coachella, it brings to mind music and festivals, but methinks Orly also makes reference to the fact that the Coachella Valley is where they grow lots and lots of lettuce…

We call these greens with high proportions of yellow and brightness “celery greens” in English, although like many other colour to nature references, they’re definite misnomers.

Sinful Colors Seaweed and Rimmel 60 Seconds Sage All the Rage.  Rimmel is darker, but they’re herbal PFFs in tonality.

These two are dustier than the immediate image above; the first image of this pair is spot-on with no manipulation required.

It was established long ago by varnish aficionadas that Essie Da Bush is a PFF to OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Stranger Tides; I don’t have either unfortunately but you see above their third-party PFF, Sinful Colors Seaweed.  If you can no longer find any member of that trio, then Rimmel is currently available in the U.S. at WalMart!

Happy summer solstice to all!

Off to devour a slice of Watergate cake + green tea with vanilla soymilk 🙂
