Back in the days of yore when Carine Roitfeld was at the helm of Paris Vogue and I could afford to buy monthly issues at the newsstand (all three of us went under during the recession — Mme. Roitfeld, the newsstand and I), la Roitfeld or her writers seemed to like the phrase “les quatre coins du monde” — it was in every issue, often several times.  “The four corners of the world” aptly describes this quad’s provenance, and it was sheer coincidence.  Thus, in spite of the following deterrents:  (1) Extreme summer heat;  (2) I’ve worn this manicure for a week; (3) My photos neither turned out well nor do they do my hands or these little bottles justice, I decided to take advantage of the serendipity.

Disclaimer:  I was only capable of taking photos of my left hand, which has OPI I’m A Princess, You’re Not! as the base in lieu of Ludurana.  Ludurana was on my right hand and was so much prettier than the OPI in this combo, but I was unsuccessful in my attempts to capture it…
